Challenge
When it comes to capturing prospect information all companies face a common challenge: how do you ask for enough details to get rich data without making the form too complicated for users to complete? The more data you request, the more valuable the insights, but the bigger the barrier to capturing that information in the first place! Long lead generation forms increase the chances of users abandoning the form altogether.
Jabra faced this issue with their recent ‘PanaCast 50 demo program’ campaign. The value of the hardware meant they needed to be sure it was going to the right people, but their existing forms weren’t user-friendly. The more fields they added, the lower the completion rate. Instead, Jabra needed a new, multilingual form that could efficiently capture leads, process the data for multiple stakeholders across Europe, and securely share it with their fulfilment partner.
Solution
It got us thinking - how many fields do we really need? Could we capture everything from just an email address? It has the user’s name and company address. Or at least versions of these. Could we reduce the form to just one field? We created an AI-driven solution - built in Databutton. Our magic lead generation form takes the email address and gets to work - it researches the lead and figures out the user’s role and who they work for. It even makes an estimate of the number of meeting rooms in their offices!
We developed a prototype form in just a few days - testing with different email formats and increasing our confidence in the quality of the results. We then created a dashboard interface to process requests, and an automated email series that sent bespoke AI generated emails to all users. In just a couple of weeks we’d created the final product ready for integration in partner websites - something that traditionally would have taken weeks or months to do.
Outcome
We deployed the new form across 13 sites in 9 languages, using a single field to significantly reduce barriers to entry and make it easier for users to request a demo. This streamlined approach has simplified the process for users, making it quicker and more intuitive for them to engage with the form.
The result? A 50% increase in form submissions. The client loves the higher completion rates and the sales team values the AI-driven insights from the data. We've transformed the humble web form, blending innovative AI technology with the creativity of our (human) team that had the idea to challenge what a form can be.
